The Lee Volunteer Ambulance Association will be hosting some very special guest on May 18th at 7pm at the Lee Middle and High School Gym. The Harlem Rockets, a talented group of basketball entertainers who combine incredible show time basketball skills and hilarious comedy will face the Lee Ambulance Dream Team in a game benefiting the Lee Volunteer Ambulance Association,
Having played over 1700 games in 11years without a single defeat, the Harlem Rockets offer something for everyone to enjoy. Sports enthusiasts will be intrigued by the athleticism and size of the Rockets including 7-footer Rick the “Rim Rocker” Lopez (Duquesna).
Basketball aficionados will be dazzled by the ball-handling wizardry of Kenny “Krazy Hands” Rodriguez, satiated by the floor game of Donnie “Razzmatazz” Seale (NC State) and left awestruck by the high flying dunks by Greg “The Finisher” Wells (Rockhurst University).
And since this is a comedy basketball, the Harlem Rockets boast not one, but two engaging and natural comedians. Everyone (except maybe the referee), will enjoy the banter and ear-to ear grin of Kevin “Showboat” Jackson and the silly and improvisational antics of Dwayne “Swoop” Simpson. Standing 6”6” and 6’7” respectively, these two young talents can also “lace them up” when necessary.
The Harlem Rockets incorporate the audience, especially children, into the show and are always available to meet the fans and give autographs at halftime and after the game.
In this special event to raise money for the Lee Volunteer Ambulance Association, the Lee Ambulance Dream Team has graciously agreed to face the Harlem Rockets. The Lee Ambulance Dream Team players include Kevin Palmer, Scott Rockefeller, Steve Parsons, Scott Muir and more…….
