William is a 2003 graduate of Lee High School

On November 26th 2003, Bill completed the rigorous 13 week Basic Training at Parris Island, SC, graduating from Platoon 1098 "C" company 1st RT Battalion with a rank of PFC.

December 29th of 2003, he went to Camp Geiger for his 22 day MCT. Following that, on January 21st of 2004, he went to Pensacola, FL to complete a flight physical and training. Then he went to Good fellow AFB in San Angelo TX on February 24th 2004, to complete his MOS training of Air Crash Fire and Rescue.

He was stationed at MCAS Yuma AZ as of June 29th 2004. With the rank of CPL, he is ARFF Crew Chief, P-19 driver/operator, P-26 driver/operator and is a nationally registered EMT. Some of his certifications include: Firefighter 1&2, Hazmat responder awareness and operation, Airport Firefighter 1&2, Fire Instructor 1, Fire officer 1, Advanced Rescue and Confined Spaces.

He is now stationed in Minnesota and is currently training personnel for further deployments. William re-enlisted for another 4 years while on his deployment to Iraq

CPL William E. Newton

Bill is a 2001 graduate of Lee High School

On 9/23/05, Bill completed the rigorous 13-week Basic Training at Parris Island, SC. Mike Company, Platoon 3082, 3rd Battalion. Bill completed his 22 day MCT at Camp Geiger, NC on 10/25/05.

He graduated from MOS training MOS in Electrical Repair; Field Radio Operator at Twenty Nine Palms, CA on 12/14/05.

Stationed at Camp LeJeune located in North Carolina beginning 12/29/05 Bill has been assigned to the 1st Marines Unit - 6th division - Infantry.

He was promoted on August 1, 2025 to the rank of LCpl. Since September. On June 1st 2007 William was promoted to CPL.

William deployed to Iraq from Sept 06 - May 07. On Feb. 12th 2008 he was deployed to Afghanistan with the 24th MEU, BLT 1/6. He is currently still in Afghanistan. He is expected home to the States some time in late 2008.

BMC Sean P. McDonald

Lee High School Class of 1982
95 Greylock ST.

Recently retired from 23 years of Military service. Began as a US Army Medic with LRRP RECON 3/35 INF. Served in 3rd AD Federal Republic of Germany and in 2nd INF DIV Camp Casey Korea. Became a Flight Medic with the 431st Helicopter Ambulance "DUSTOFF".

Transferred to the United States Coast Guard. Assigned to USCG Station Cape Disappointment as a Coxswain of self righting, self bailing Motor Lifeboats conducting Heavy Weather Search and Rescue off the coast of Oregon and Washington. Conducted operational evaluation testing of protoype 47ft Motor Lifeboat for USCG. Transferred, and conducted drug and migrant interdiction off the Florida,Puerto Rican and Belizien coasts. Assigned to Special Operations and conducted high speed counter narcotics interdiction in Haiti, Cuba, Nicaragua and deep Carribean basin. Routinely assigned in support of other agencies and other DOD activities in Europe and South/Central America.

His home on Greylock St. was owned by Mr. Burt who was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions during WW2. Mr. McDonald says, "I will never forgot meeting him. I remember most vividly him pointing to our mantle where the medal was displayed."

Benjamin is a 2004 graduate of Lee High School

On May 11, 2007, Ben completed the rigorous 13 week Basic Training at Parris Island, SC, graduating with Platoon 3033, Kilo Co, 3rd RT Battalion with a rank of PVT. He graduated with the rank of PFC on August 2, 2025 after 52 days of his MOS training from Bravo Co, Infantry Training Battalion, School of Infantry at Camp Geiger, NC. His permanent duty station is Camp Lejeune, NC. Ben is assigned to the 2/9 Weapons Co "Hell in a Helmet"- Infantry. His MOS is 0352-Towgunner.

While attending a 30 day advanced Infantry Training in VA, he was meritoriously promoted to Lance Corporal in March of 2008.
Ben was promoted to his current rank of Corporal on January 1, 2025 while serving his first deployment in Ramadi, Iraq.
