At Sullivan Station on Railroad Street it's all about Fine Food, a relaxing atmosphere for romantic candlelight dinners, a family night out or a group get-together with friends or business associates. In February, 2011 the business was sold to two local women with a plethora of restaurant experience. Darleen Zradi and Jane LaGrant both come from backgrounds with years of managing, retail sales and hands on kitchen experience. Darleen has worked as a retail account manager supplying restaurants with all the necessities required to successfully operate on a day to day basis as well as running her own catering business. Her creativity and organizational skills have been an asset to every restaurant in the county. Jane worked for her family for many years in every possible capacity at Lee Pizza and Sophia’s Restaurant. Jane also has seen the business from the viewpoint of an owner. Being a Constantopoulos means being involved in the art of the restaurant. With them, Darleen and Jane bring fresh ideas, enthusiastic energy and a Mission Statement with Customer Satisfaction as the primary goal.

Darleen and Jane have created a new menu featuring a variety of staple dishes to tempt the most demanding of palates. Complimenting the “Station Favorites,” they have added an ever changing list of Specials and Early Bird entrees to please every appetite. The “Short Haul Favorites” or Appetizers start every culinary experience off with a taste of creations that serve as a prelude to the magical depths of the imaginations of all three of the menu designers. In many cases, great conversation, fine wine and a sampling of the starters can be enough to satisfy the taste buds on the initial visit to the Station, but the aromas, the atmosphere and the culinary sights tempt every passenger to journey deeper in to the lure of the total Station Experience.

Former train stations always seem particularly appealing as dining spots, especially for those who enjoy the ambiance of a well-preserved stop like the former Lee Depot. Lunchtime diners see the Berkshire Scenic Railway stop on their Lenox to Stockbridge runs over the weekend at this time of year, and daily in the summer. It's possible to board the train in either town, stop over in Lee for lunch and then resume your round-trip ride.

With a capacity of 65 and a summertime deck that accommodates 15 additional diners, The Station fills to capacity on weekends and most nights during the week. For those who are fortunate enough to experience the friendly service, the captivating atmosphere and the exquisite creations from the kitchen, a return trip becomes a necessity. Relax before Tanglewood, Jacobs Pillow or the many other Cultural experiences offered in the Beautiful Berkshires or just enjoy the extraordinary local character of one of the quaint villages that doubles as a stop along your journey or, hopefully, your final destination. Whether you choose to spend the better part of your evening traveling through the entire Menu Journey, a quick repast before attending one of the local Cultural Performances or just after-dinner drinks and dessert, your every layover at The Station will become a fond memory. The restored caboose is available by reservation for private parties as is the entire Station. Whatever the occasion, whatever the size of your gathering - Your Total Satisfaction is our Goal!
